About the role
We're looking for around four volunteer moderators to help keep MapleSMP a friendly place to play. You'll keep an eye on chat, step in when things get heated, and help look into griefing reports when something has been damaged or taken.
What a typical week looks like
- Keeping an eye on chat and dealing with spam, harassment and anything else that breaks the rules
- Picking up griefing reports and working out what happened
- Explaining decisions calmly and fairly, even when a player isn't happy about them
- Checking in with the rest of the team when a situation is tricky
Why it's worth doing
Moderators are often the first people players turn to when something goes wrong, so this is a chance to shape how MapleSMP feels for everyone. You'll get to know the community well and work alongside people who care about the server as much as you do.
What we're looking for
- Be 16 or older (required)
- Play MapleSMP regularly, and be around often enough to keep up with chat and reports
- Be reliable, and follow through when you say you'll help
- Stay calm and fair when people are upset with you
Nice to have
- Be 18 or older
- Already know the server's rules and community well
